It seemed logical to us that with Evan being so
young, if we could intervene with her high tone,
she might be prevented having to have so many
orthopedic surgeries for contractures. We also
see it as an opportunity to give her a greater
chance to develop volitional use of her body
since the abnormal reflexes aren't quite as strong
as before.
Between this surgery and orthopedic corrective
surgeries, this seems the lesser of two evils.
