Without a worry, care or doubt
and if not asking for too much

And then I asked Him if He would
Make all your things work out for good
and wrap you up in tenderness
Then fill your day with happiness.
I asked Him if He'd take the time
To make your trials seem so sublime
From all your binds, would He release
And give you only perfect peace.
I asked if He would keep you whole
And all His works for you unfold
If He would keep you out harms' way
By ordering your steps all day.
And if it be His perfect will
To keep your troubled waters still
As you travel to and from
Winning souls for Kingdom come.
Your family, too, I asked He'd bless
And keep them in His sweet caress
I asked these as I knelt to pray
For you were on my mind today.
